SEASON 3
Season 3 is focused on Black voters, the spaces they congregate in, and how those spaces are impacted by policy. When electoral candidates campaign for Black votes, many segments of the community are left out of the conversation. This season explores the Black community’s other gathering spaces—from the barbershop, salon, local bar, and more. Photo by Kara Young.
SEASON 2
In Season 2 of Columbus Can't Wait we focused squarely on the long history of police violence in Columbus, Ohio and the impunity of the Columbus Police Department. We believe families, we believe parents and caretakers, and we believe that they have the right to have their stories heard. We will speak with parents who have lost their sons to police violence, to elected officials, to activists, independent media outlets and community members doing the work to make change. SEASON 1
Season 1 of Columbus Can’t Wait took place in the fall of 2020 after the historic summer of uprisings and in anticipation of the General Election. We are grateful to former congressional candidate, and current candidate for Senate, Morgan Harper, for her role in bringing this podcast life.
