LEAD ASSISTANT EDITOR (EPISODES 3 & 4)
Who Killed Malcolm X? is a new six-part documentary series that investigates the disturbing mysteries surrounding the assassination of one of the most dynamic American leaders of all time. More than 50 years later, there are still serious questions about who is responsible for what happened on February 21, 1965, when Malcolm X was murdered in Harlem’s Audubon Ballroom in front of hundreds of witnesses. Compelling evidence suggests that two of the three men convicted of the crime – both of whom served twenty years in jail – were innocent. More surprising, perhaps, is the fact that evidence pointing to the identities of four other men involved in the plot has been available to law enforcement for decades, but no one has actively pursued the truth… until now.
Originally premiered on Fusion TV in 2019. Now streaming on Netflix.

A feature length documentary about Earl Lloyd, the first African-American basketball player in the NBA. The film interweaves archival b-roll and talking head interviews alongside modern day verité footage to show Earl's interpretation of where we've been and where we're headed as a country that still wrestles with integration. After his years as a player and coach in the NBA, Earl worked as a community advocate and youth advisor in Detroit. Perhaps his most repeated message was that children need a whole community of support to rise up and sadly, those communities are disappearing.
